The Hanoi – Halong Bay 05 Days 04 nights tour is designed for all tourists to explore the main sites of Vietnams’ capital and relax on a cruise on World Heritage Listed Halong Bay. The tour covers all the main sites of Hanoi, before traveling to Halong Bay to enjoy a cruise on magnificent Halong Bay, Vietnam’s premier tourist destination. Halong Bay has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, and after your cruise you will understand why.

ITINERARY:

Day 01: Hanoi Arrival (Meals: None) (GLDH night 1)

Day 02: Hanoi City Tour (Meals: B, L) (GLDH night 2)

Day 03: Hanoi – Halong Bay Overnight on Junk (Meals: B, L, D).

Day 04: Halong Bay – Hanoi (Meals: B, L). (GLDH night 3)

Day 05: Hanoi – Departure (Meals: B)

Hanoi Capital is located on the banks of the Red River with tranquil Hoan Kiem Lake at its heart, Hanoi is the capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. North of the lake are the bustling streets of the Old Quarter, each street named after the trade that used to take place there. Sightseeing with a Local Guide; water puppets performance; visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Presidential Palace, and Temple of Literature.

08:00 - 08:30 AM: Pick up at your hotel (join tours will free pick up all points in Hoan Kiem, Hanoi). Then visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts and lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 - the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. We then continue on to the Quan Thanh Temple (Taoist - dating from the Ly Dynasty) and the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on the West lake (One of the oldest pagoda in Vietnam). Then visit Bat Trang pottery village (apply on Mon, Wed & Fri). Lunch at local restaurant.

PM: After lunch we’ll proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum (apply on Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat), the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. We’ll also see Vietnam’s first university, constructed in 1070 -  it’s gardens and well-preserved architecture will offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. We will take you past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters, and the beauty of Ngoc Son temple. For the last part of the tour we’ll journey through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where you’ll then have a chance for some shopping and exploration. Tour ends around 15h30 - 16h00.

Day 03: Hanoi – Halong Bay Overnight on Junk (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After having a breakfast at your hotel and transfer to Ha Long Bay. Drive through green rice paddy fields to Ha Long Bay (approximate 3,5 hours).  Arrive at Halong Bay wharf, you will be met by our crew who escort you on board and serve welcome drinks. You then check into your cabin and we begin cruising into Halong Bay. Have lunch in the restaurant while you enjoy the stunning views of the Bay. In the early afternoon we arrive at floating fishing village and drop anchor. Our guide will give you some information and interesting facts about this fascinating village and its local community. We disembark and travel on the sampans rowed by the local people. They will be your guides through their fishing village where you can meet the locals, visit the school and pearl farms. See first-hand what life is like living on the water. Back on board we head for the calm waters of the lagoons and beaches for swimming and relaxing on deck or pamper yourself

Day 04: Halong Bay – Hanoi (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)

For the early risers join us for a Tai Chi session on the sun deck or take the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of a Halong Bay sunrise. After breakfast we set sail for Bo Hon Island. Disembark and visit (Sung Sot) Surprise Cave. It is one of the largest grottoes in Halong Bay with thousands of stalactites and stalagmites.

An early lunch is made available to enjoy while we head back to Halong wharf on another scenic route. We arrive back at the wharf at 12 noon for our drive back to your hotel in Hanoi arriving at 5.pm. Overnight at Golden Legend Diamond Hotel.

Day 05: Hanoi – Departure (Meals: Breakfast)

After have breakfast at your hotel. Free at your leisure until departure to Noi Bai international airport for your departure.
